1
' Species diversity will be sufficient to meet permit requirements. The use
t of the seed mixture listed on Table 2 should result in future stands of
vegetation meeting diversity requirements.
' Shrub density is less than the required 1,000 stems per acre for the entire
reclamation area; however, the data collected on each individual area
' indicate that shrub densities are increasing with the age of the stand. Due
to the size of the reclamation area and the competitive nature of native
' shrub species, it is likely that shrub densities will meet permit require-
ments by the end of the ten-year liability period,
' Productivity information collected in previous years shows a range of values
from 1,631 pounds per acre to 3,469 pounds per acre. The 1986 data falls
' within the range of productivity values obtained in previous years. The
annual productivity would be placed into the good condition rating for the
' SCS range condition classes.
' Data from the 1986 sampling effort indicate that revegetation efforts are
being successful. If the trends identified continue, it is expected that
' bond release attempts will be successful.
1

1
1
1
~~~~t
~~~ ~
~~d aR
-12-
