y
ANNUAL REPORT
Operator: United Companies of Mesa County
Location: BLM Pit # 1
File Number: M-2001-100
Anniversary Date: May 15, 2007
This location was not very active this report period. One mining- crushing event for
roadbase did take place. No additional stripping or reclaiming during this report period.
There has not been much of a market for aggregates and almost no company projects in
the east end of the valley to keep this pit active on a steady basis this past year.
Paul Schreiner (Eco-Rx, Inc.) our weed control subcontractor, checks the area for weed
control on a twice a year basis. He and I looked over the reclaimed- reseeded area in mid
March. There are satisfactory signs of seeding success. Paul says it will take awhile but
reveg. is starting to show.
Sincerely,

Brent W. Kerr
Resource Manager
