r III Illlllllllllllil <br />-. 999 <br />~~~ SUBSIDENCE MOMTORING REPORT <br />CYPRUS EMPIRE CORPORATION, EAGLE MINE NO. 5 <br />JULY-DECEMBER 1995 <br />1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />This report summarizes the survey results of subsidence monitoring over E-seam longwall <br />mining panels at Cyprus Empire Corporation's (CEC) Eagle Mine No. 5. This report <br />covers the period of July through December 1995. <br />Monitoring point locations, surface features, overburden thickness contours, and the <br />monthly mining advance are illustrated on the attached map entitled, "E-seam Longwall <br />Subsidence Monitors." <br />2.0 MONITORING SCHEDULE <br />As per the approved monitoring schedule, subsidence surveys were conducted in <br />September and November 1995. The surveys included all monitors on lines A, B, C, D, <br />and J and the three highway stations. <br />3.0 MINING ADVANCE <br />Mining of the 3 East longwall panel advanced approximately 125 feet during the months <br />of July and August, completing extraction from this panel. Monthly advance is illustrated <br />on the attached map. <br />4.0 SUBSIDENCE RESULTS <br />The results of the monitoring surveys are presented in the attached tables. The accuracy <br />specification on the monitoring survey is 0.1 ft. Listed below are the highlights.for each <br />line. <br />Line. <br />A -0.1 <br />B -0.2 <br />C -0.7 <br />D -0.2 <br />i -0.] <br />Total Subsidence to Date <br />-7.0 <br />-7.1 <br />-4.7 <br />-9.7 <br />-11.9 <br />The highway monitoring stations have not changed in elevation within the accuracy <br />specifications. <br />No substantial cracks have appeared. Small cracks ranging in horizontal spread from less <br />than an inch up to three inches, have been located and will continue to be visually <br />monitored. <br />
