 r
10, 11, 12 and 13) .
Representative water quality of the inflow was measured.
Table 5 presents the temperature, conductivity and pH of each
source. Quality of those sources seeping from job or abandoned
mine areas was higher in temperature and conductivity than those
areas of current workings. Quality ranged from 135 to 326 umhos/cm
conductivity, 11 to 16 degrees Celsius temperature and 6. 6 to 7. 5
S.U. pH.
Mine water inflow was collected in a sump and discharged
from the mine by pumping. Table 3 presents average daily discharge
from the mine (calculated from daily pump records and averaged for
each month) . Figures 3 and 4 graphically display this hydrograph
for 1988 and 1989. Average daily discharge ranged from 106, 300 gpd
during June 1989 to 128, 800 gpd during January 1989 . The mine
inflow study estimated 78 . 5 gpm flowing into the mine which relates
to 113 , 040 gpd. Calculated discharges were somewhat lower than
estimated inflow (Table 3) .
