The water level in the <br />mine is measured through a monitoring hole which penetrates the mine opening. The <br />water level in the mine was basically stable during 2001. <br />' MINE WATER QUALITY <br />' The discharge from the No. 3 Mine and No. 1 Mine were combined on August 11, 1995. <br />The average flow measurements from the No. 3 Mine (Outfall 007) for the period 1990 <br />through 1994 are summarized below. <br />1 <br /> <br />NO. 3 MINE DISCHARGE <br />Year 1990 1991 1992 1993 1994 <br />Flow m 6.7 6.8 5.5 10.4 8.0 <br />' Water from the No.1 Mine and No. 3 Mine continues to be treated by the passive water <br />treatment system. The quality of the discharge is presented in a table in Appendix IV. The <br />' quality of the discharge from the mines showed some variation from last year. The <br />maximum and average flow and conductivity decreased and TDS increased during the <br />year. <br />' The following table presents arithmetic averages of flow and quality measurements taken <br />at Outfall 001.
