There is a bridge out just south of
the pit. We plan on replacing the bridge as soon as possible then we
would be able to access the Kokes Pit.
3) Bell Sand and Gravel Pit (M-78-248)
This sand and gravel pit is located in the northern part of the county
near minuteman missile roads. Most county roads in that part of the
county are missile roads that are built to United States Air Force
Specifications. We have not rebuilt any of these roads lately, but will
when the Air Force considers it necessary.
4) Brekel Gravel Pit (M-78-147)
This gravel pit is located in the Fleming district and provides gravel for
county roads in that area. Like the Fix Sand and Gravel Pit, this is an
active pit but we have not needed gravel from this pit recently as the
roads are in good condition and we have not experienced flooding, etc...
