At this time, only small areas have been
reclaimed at Seneca II-W that meets the required stand age for
monitoring. Seneca Coal Company requests that monitoring be
delayed until sufficiently large reclamation blocks have been
established to warrant monitoring. It is estimated that
sufficient area for sampling may be available as early as the
1995 season.
Annual vegetation monitoring will be conducted at the Seneca II
Mine during the week of July 18. ESCO Associates, Inc. from
Boulder, Colorado, has been contracted to complete the
monitoring studies.
If you have any questions regarding the above, please contact me
or Gary Wendt at your convenience.
bd
Sincerely,
Vern Pfannenstiel
Sr. Environmental Scientist
Peabody Western Coal Company • 1300 Soufh Yala Sfreef • FlagsfoFF, Arisone 86001 • Telephone (604) 774.3]53 • Fa: (604) 773-4396
