These responses duplicate CYCC
efforts in the CYCC letter dated July 18, 1994. The letter of July
18th is from you where the letter dated October 31, 1994 is from
Ashley House, which may explain some of the confusion. In an
attempt to clarify the myriad of responses, I have reviewed my
letter of August 18, 1994 in addition to the other above-mentioned
adequacy letters and responses. The remaining or outstanding
Division concerns or comments are as follows:
A. Please indicate which point of the outside stream staff gauge
is surveyed. Provide a detailed explanation of how this value
is then used in conjunction with the monthly measurements to
arrive at both a stream elevation and a subsequent flow value.
B. After further review, it has become apparent that CYCC did
indeed follow established policy by submitting a request to
delay sampling for all bedrock wells for all Cyprus complex
wells, including Mine No. 3 until June of 1993. Documents
were discovered during an on-site record review at CYCC and
subsequent investigation at the Division offices confirmed
that correspondence was received. This type of action is
considered proper and acceptable. Please accept our apologies
for this oversight.
To summarize, please respond to item A above to close-out the 1993
Mine No. 3 AHR review.
If you have questions, please call me.
Since~y,~
Ken: ~ ~~~m
Env ronmental Protection Specialist
