Box 68
Craig, Colorado 81626
Items Discussed: Reduction in Subsidence Monitoring
241325Feb97. Rick returned my voice-mail calls. Subject: progress on review of his Subsidence request (to
discontinue). Advised him that it was in due, estimated completion of review in approximately two weeks.
He would like an answer so as not to make a survey and report for the January -March quarter. Advised him
that discontinuance would be dependent upon an approved Technical Revision. I would have to get back to
him with advise as I was not sure we could authorize suspension of a requirement without formal approval,
in due process, of a Technical Revision.
241348Feb97. Left avoice-mail for Rick. Asked him to call me back. Also advised that it would take a TR,
and that an Approved TR to avoid making a 1st quarter 1997 survey is unlikely.
24Feb97. Rick called back, asked me to explore further, see wording of page 2.05.6(6) - 16 Ra.
241545Feb97. Called Rick back. Gave him astatus - i.e., under review, and quoted Rule 1.04(137). Also
asked for Sep 28 and March 13 data of the subsidence report (1996).
25i525Feb97. Called Rick. Advised him of Division decisicn to consider reduction in subsidence monitoring
via a TR (the vehicle for written approval and coordination with others).
Action To Be Taken: ~ Copy To: Rick
