SHPO Clearance - The applicant believes that the state-
ments presented in Exhibit "T" adequately cover this issue.
The Board has accepted this approach in other recent applica-
tions.
2. Guarantee that the original topsoil and overburden stock-
piles will be stabilized for the life of the mining
operation. Stockpiles will be kept low for stability and
will be seeded as per the reclamation plan to preserve the
integrity.
3. The attached map indicates the original proposed location
of the low berm. As mining proceeds south, the berm will be
moved south around the new area. The berm will be a 1' high
diversion made with a blade. This should protect the drain-
age in and around the permit area from erosion and/or
sedimentation.
Rule 1.5.1 provides that changes and additions must be filed
with the Division and the County Clerk and Recorder. On
1/27/93, Barb Chiappone called and stated in Exhibit "O" the
Exploration and Purchase Option did not give the legal de-
scription that the option is for, and whether the option is
still in force. I called Mr. Leidich, Mines Manager with
Robinson Brick Co. to report this. He supplied the Division
with the agreement but did not file it with the County Clerk
and Recorder in Elbert County, since it was confidential in-
formation. The information supplied the Elbert County Clerk
and Recorder was entirely adequate for anyone wishing to re-
view the application.
