' It is planned that the reclamation process on a depleted tract will be <br />completed before extraction on the adjacent tract is finished, so that <br />' disturbance in the excavation area will be Limited to two tracts at any <br />' time during the period of the operation. <br />Each of the eight tracts is anticipated to supply material for <br />a period of 2-1/2 to 3 years; likewise it is anticipated that reclamation <br />revegetation on a spent tract will be established and completed within <br />a period of 2-1/2 to 3 years. With the extraction and reclamation <br />1 process being performed concurrently on adjacent tracts, the estimated <br />time to totally extract material in the excavation area is .from 20 to 24 <br />years. An additional 2-1/2 to 3 years will be required to perform <br />' reclamation on the last tract excavated. A graph of the proposed <br />' extraction and reclamation stages is shown on the following page. <br />' Since the excavation area is an open drainageway in Sand Creek <br />and subject to periodic flooding and deposition of sand, it is probable <br />' that the timetable will be extended when a flood occurs and sands are <br />' washed into a tract being worked. <br />LJ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />
