VEGETATION INFORMATION EXHIBIT J
[Rules&Reps§13.4.101
CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL PERMIT N2 M 2001-..........
REouwt 112 OPERATION
WEIMER ONE GRAVEL"
Jenusry 2001
Existing vegetation at the site is described by NRCS as "Stony Foothills" Range Site. Grasses
include primarily blue grama, galleta, bottlebrush squirreltail, and three-awn. Forbs and shrubs
include big sagebrush, broom snakeweed, ephedra, yucca, senecio, prickly pear, annual mustard, and
astragulas. Pinion pine and Utah juniper trees border just outside the southeast periphery, primarily
at the crests of the bench slopes and minor draws. Big sage is the predominant plant on undisturbed
areas of the site, yet only attains an average height of up to 18 inches, apparently due to the low
moisture content and anemic soils.
24
