In <br />' general, tiie chances for vegetation establishment increase as the <br /> percent slope decreases. Top soil should be applied as needed and <br /> as cost permits, If topsoil is applied, it should be tilled to a <br />' depth of G inches. Fertilizer should be applied unless a soi.L <br /> analysis indicates that there is sufficient amounts of nitrogen <br /> and phosphorous to establish vegetation, If fertilizer i.s needed, <br /> the rate of application should not he less than 40 lb s, per acre. <br /> Mulch should be applied in order to control erosion until the <br /> vegetation becomes established.
