• • .
Mobile Premix Concrete, Inc. EXHIBIT G (Cont'd)
' Page 4
February 16, 1978 ,
problems with the Ferguson wells develop which can be attributed to the
' ~ mining operation, it is recommended that Mobile Premix Company provide
water in quantity and quality equivalent to the historic well characteristics.
B. Letter dated July 12, 1977, from Adams County Commissioners to
Consolidated Rock Company.
The Adams County Commissioners requested a response from Consolidated
• Rock Company (now Fiobile Premix Company) as to how drainage from First
Creek would be provided outletting into the South Platte River.
' Historically, a drainage outlet for First Creek was provided as shown
on Exhibit No. 2. First Creek flows from east to west under Brighton
Boulevard via a 14" X 24" box culvert and thence under Fulton Ditch via
an 18 inch culvert. It is at its outlet from under Fulton Ditch that
most of the major alterations to first Creek's drainage pattern have taken
place.

Prior to the existance of the present gravel pit, First Creek outletted
into Bull Seep Ditch as shown on Exhibit No. 2. After Consolidated Rock
Company commenced its mining operations, the creek was diverted north
along the east edge of the pit into the Young Ditch as shown on Exhibit
No. 3. Both of these routings eventually discharged First Creek water
into the South Platte River.
As was pointed out previously in this report, Mobile Premix Company should
provide a 12 to 15 inch culvert outlet into Young Ditch and maintain natural
flows into Bull Seep Ditch. Therefore, it is recommended that First Creek
be routed into the gravel mine lakes as shown on Exhibit No. 4. First
Creek drainage water will thereby find its way to the South Platte River
via Bull Seep Ditch and/or the Young Ditch as it historically has done.
' LHW/kt

••~,,.,,,,,,•~~ Sincerely yours, ••
•;.`•••G~ H.
