The
' total mined area, amounts to approximately 3.33 acres for the Lumsden
Canyon Pit 112.
' Side slopes of the pit area will be graded at a ratio of 3:1 (horizontal
vs. vertical) or to match existing undisturbed adjacent slopes whichever applies.
Native topsoil will be spread on sloped areas as required to a depth
of at least 4-6 inches until stockpiled supplies are exhausted.
All exposed reseedable areas will be reseeded as range land. All areas
seeded by the applicant will be broadcast in compliance with the following
seed quantities/acre.
Indian Rice Grass 4 lbs PLS/acre
' Blue Grama Grass 4 lbs PLS/acre
Fourwin;; Saltbush 4 lbs PLS/acre
Little ]tabbitbrush 4 lbs PLS/acre
PLS = Pure Live Seed
' At this time, the applicant plans to mine on an "as needed" operation.
Upon completion of mining efforts, processing equipment will be removed
' from the area. Pit slopes will be graded as previously mentioned con-
currently with mining operations. It is anticipated that intrinsic soil
' will promote rapid growth at the start of the spring growing season.
In order to prevent soil erosion, all soil stockpiles will be graded
' and contoured to minimize potential damage from storm runoff. Natural
drainage ways will also be contoured to prevent soil erosion problems.

1

1
