Squire
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division
1313 Sherman St., Ibo. 423
Denver, Co 80203
Re: Minor Revision Request - Rock Dust Tank Storage Facility
File No. C-81-014
Dear Gregg:
Energy Fuels Coal, Inc. (•EFCI') is planning to install a rock
dust storage tank facility west of the existing refuse pile site:
The tank is designed to be mounted in a vertical position, on
concrete footers, with a maximum total storage capacity of 100
tons of rock dust. Rock dust will be pneumatically loaded into
the tank from tanker trucks designed for this application. The
storage tank will gravity feed rock dust into the mine workings
via a cased borehole. The bulk storage tank and borehole unloading
system will facilitate underground distribution of rock dust to
the working areas of the mine, thus improving efficiency and
safety. _
Installation of the rock dust storage tank will require construc-
tion of additional facilities. EFCI proposes to construct a
~~-=---light use road and overhead power lines to the storage tank site.
Concrete footers will be constructed to support the tank and a
_ g ravel pad area adjacent to the tank will allow tanker truck
access. The cased borehole into the mine is presently under con-
struction as described in EFCI's Minor Revision Request: 1381
Exploration and Development Drilling Project, approved on August
29, 1987 by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division.
This letter and its attachments serve as Energy Fuels formal re-
quest for a minor revision to Colorado Mining and Reclamation
permit No. C-81-014 involving the installation of a storage tank
with concrete footers, overhead power line and construction of a
pad area and light use road.
Attached to this letter are:
. A. A completed Application for a Minor Revision
B. Narrative of Facilities construction
C. Exhibit 1: Rock Dust Storage Tank Facility Location Map
