Box 449 <br />Florence, Colorado 81226 <br />Re: Minor Revision No. 11, Drill Holes, Southfield Mine (C-81-014) <br />Dear Mr. Weaver: <br />The Division approves with conditions the minor revision submitted by the <br />Southfield Mine for the drilling of 3 holes within the permit boundry, Please <br />be aware that in the sealing of water producing zones (Rule 4.07.3(2)) MLRD <br />regulations require cement grout to be placed 20 feet above and below the <br />water producing zone. In the area of the proposed drilling much of the area <br />has been undermined and drilling may encounter saturated underground <br />workings. If this occurs this zone should be treated as an aquifer. <br />Therefore, the Division approves this minor revision rith the condition that <br />20 feet of cement grout be used to seal water producing zones instead of 10 <br />feet of cement proposed in the ml nor revision. <br />Sinter , <br />~D_ <br />Randall P.
