Sideslopes will be held to a maximum of 3:1 to 10 <br />feet below the water line and a maximum of 2:1 below that depth. Some of the existing trees will <br />be preserved if possible, and the banks will be reseeded to native pasture grasses down to water- <br />line. A minimum of 20 additional Siouxland Poplar trees (2" min. caliper) will be planted adjacent <br />to the lakes as shown on the map. Area 2 is-to be used by the City of Loveland as a repository <br />for such debris as torn up asphalt, broken concrete, broken tree limbs and the like. The debris <br />will be covered sequentially using stored overburden soils from the mining process. When the <br />filling of the area is complete, the area will be recovered with topsoil and reseeded to native <br />pasture grasses of a drouth resistant strain. Significant compactive efforts are not felt to be <br />practical or particularly necessary, as nearly the entire area lies within the 100 year flood <br />plain of the Big Thompson River, and is therefore unusable for building purposes. If needed by <br />the City, Area 1 may also be utilized for the above purposes, with the same reclamation scheme <br />applying. If not felt to be needed by the City, the area will be filled with overburden soils <br />topped with topsoil at approximate elevation 4890 and reseeded as above. <br />In general, the reclamation process shall be handled on a sequential basis, so that mined out <br />areas are not left unreclaimed for more than two years. As noted above, this will not totally <br />apply to Area 2, which trill be serving a long -term purpose. <br />RECLAMATION COSTS �c <br />O 1. Total cost is estimato at $10,175.00. <br />2.
