Aug 1994. Content of the letter, such was a •~opy of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Permit Application form and request to the Fremont SCD for Comments regarding the proposed post=mining.land_use__ I hav? reviewed the Reclamation Permit and Application forms, I have also r~?viewed the proposed reclamation plan as was prepared for Fr?ment County by Ricb: Romano (SCS), dated 8/4/93. I offer the following Comments: 1. The proposed post-mining land use to Wilcllife_.Habi_tat. is well in keeping with adjacent 'existing land use in the area. 2. ~Tt,e proposed Reclamation Flan (8/419.3) appears ad?auate to guide steps for successful r?vegetation of the post-mined site. _. In regard t:~•: antrol of noxious weeds, I suggest y?arty inspection of tt,e r=vegetated site for ~~everal rears (in late Spring) to check fpr' the possible presence~of noxious weeds. Diffuse Knapweed plants t,ave been found along the Copper Gulch road, a few miles away, The Fremont SCD will ~~ontinue to work with Fremont County as requested on monitoring of re~~larnati~~r, ?fforts and as time and manpower permits.
