As stated in Lhe <br />Ptining Plan (Lxl~ibit U), some overburden caill be used to construct a 2' liigl~ <br />flood control berm on the south and a portion of Cite west perimeter. 1'lie <br />berm will he approximately 20' wide on the top and backsloped at 311: 1V on <br />the sides. The entire affected area including theberm, any disturbed ad;jacent <br />areas, and backslope to Cite water line will have 12" t'o 13" of topsoil replaced. <br />Tl~e Reclamation flap in tixltibit P defines a maximum extraction situation. It <br />is projected that there will he excess overburden cahich will be used to add <br />sinuosity to t-he shoreline and reduce the pond surface area. <br />Iiackslopes, adjacent affected areas and berm will be reseeded with the <br />following SCS recommended seed mix: <br />Species <br />1•Iestern Fllteatprass <br />Switcltgrass <br />Alkali Sacaton <br />The SCS also recommends: <br />Var <br />Mix <br />it/A PLS <br />llarton, Rosano, Arriva 35 <br />Grenville 25 <br />Saltalk 40 <br />5.G <br />1.2 <br />0.6 <br />1. 40i`/A of available nitrogen. <br />2. 40/1/A of available phosphorous. <br />3. 400041/A of grass hay or strata mulch broadcast and <br />crimped over the entire affected area. <br /> <br />It is anticipated that the recommended <br />seeding, and crimping operation will be <br />practical.
