Ed Gardner <br />Whitewater Building h1aterials Coro. <br />940 S. 10th St. <br />' Grand Junction, Colorado 81501 <br />' Dear Sir: <br />RE: Whitewater Pit X500 <br />' I have completed a detail cost estimate of the proposed relocation <br />of the Gateway Branch Toll Line which crosses Whitewater Pit X500. <br />The proposal to provide a dika on the north & south sides of the <br />future pi'..s for maintenance of the line under longer spans proved <br />to boa more economical plan at a present cost of approximately <br />$500.00 as compared to relocating the line along the entrance to <br />the pit area from Hwy X141 at a Cost of approximately X11,000.00. <br />' In addition to making a cost comparison of the proposals we may <br />consider that. the ling will become owt-dated or require reinforce- <br />,rent as the area southwest of Whitewater grows. In the event that <br />local orowth in the area prompts reinforcement the telephpne cpm- <br />pang would prefar to bury cable along Colorado Hwy 141 rather than <br />place aerial cable on the existino pole line.
