Hue of the r1 <br />horizon ranges from lOYR to 2.SY but is dominantly lOYP.. <br />' Billings silty clay loam (Es).---This level and nearly level soil <br />occurs on flecd plains and low terraces. It has a profile similar to <br />the one described as typical for its series. Included in mapping ac•e <br />10 percent cf Youngston and Persayo soils. <br />Surface runoff is moderate and erosion hazard is moderate. Deep <br />gullies are ccavon throug'.-~out most mapped areas of this soil. Gullies <br />limit the beneficial effect of overflow and restrict use by man and <br />animals. <br />' The soil is used mostly as range.
