i
It would be in the best interest of Asphalt Paving to contact the Corps of An-
gineers concerning the need for a GOL permit for reclamation in aroa 2. Extraction
of the gravel would not, as I understand the law, require a permit. However, since
reclamation xould involve backfillin@ a wetland a 1~0u permit may be necessary. The
Corps of Engineers can provide the definitive information on this subject.
I would appreciate it 1f you would contact Sprague Mayger concerning this letter.
I have no intention of misquoting the verbal agreement xe have made as exprease:d
in this letter. }ie can verify that the information T have provided you ie correct.
I£ there is a problem, please let me knox as soon as possible. Asphalt Faving and
the Division have an amicable working relation on this project, and should be able
to work out any problems prior to the county hearings.
I would like to close by thanking Air. 19ayger, and Asphalt Paving for the consider-
ation they have shown the Divison of wildlife on this project. It is important that
we all xork together on these projects to achieve the best possible results economic-
ally, socially and environmentally. If this is done Weld County will continue to
be a good place for people as xell as wildlife.
Sincerely,
r ~,
Larry Rogstad _
cc Sprague 19ayger, Asphalt Paving
Tom Lynch, D.C.W.
Rick Moss, D.O.~rl.
file
