.age 2 commissioners'~ting 12/5/77 • <br />Commissioner Shoop read the following Bids which were received on a <br />~'-wheel Pickup 3/4 ton for District kl: <br />Triangle Truck $5999.47 <br />Luke's Motor Co. 5997.75 <br />Bill Berry Motor 6070.00 <br />Lindner Chevrolet 5868.35 <br />Dale Russell Motor 6029.17 <br />Commissioner Shoop moved to accept the bid of Lindner Chevrolet, with <br />4 tires at a bid of $5915.35. Commissioner Canterbury duly seconded the <br />motion and upon vote: Commissioner Shoop, aye; Commissioner Canterbury, <br />aye. The Chairman declared the motion carried and so ordered. <br />Chairman Canterbury adjourned the meeting until 3:00 P.M. o'clock. <br />P U B L I C H E A R I N G <br />3:00 P.M. o'clock <br />Special Use Permit for Colorado Refractories <br />Mr. Steve Schermerhorn was present to represent Colorado Refractories in a <br />request for the issuance of a three year Special Use Permit to strip mine <br />clay at the "Cherokee Mine" which is located approximately 2.25 miles south <br />of Rockvale on County Road N84. Chairman Canterbury asked if there were <br />any objections to the issuance of this Special Use Permit and hearing none, <br />Commissioner Shoop moved for approval of the issuance of a three year permit <br />for Colorado Refractories to strip mine clay at the Cherokee Mine contingent <br />upcn the following being submitted to the Planning Department. <br />1. A state approved Reclamation Plan <br />2. Notice of any technical revision within the permit area; <br />3. A copy of the annual mining report submitted to the state. <br />Commissioner Canterbury duly seconded the motion and upon vote: Commissioner <br />Shoop, aye; Commissioner Canterbury, aye. The Chairman declared the motion <br />carried and so ordered. <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />3:15 P.M. o'clock <br />Special Use Permit for Summit Pressed Brick & Tile Company <br />Mr. Steve Schermerhorn was present to represent the Summit Pressed Brick and <br />Tile Company in a request for the issuance of a three year Special Use Permit <br />to strip mine clay at the "Fi *-M;io ria~ Mine" located approximately .25 <br />miles east of Colorado Highway 9, on County Road p62. Chairman Canterbury <br />asked if there was anyone present who objected to the issuance of the permit. <br />Nearing none Commissioner Shoop moved to approve the issuance of a Special <br />Use Permit for Summit Pressed Brick and Tile Company to strip mine clay <br />at the Eight-Mile Clay Mine contingent upon the following being submitted <br />to the Planning Department: <br />1. A State approved Reclamation Plan, <br />2. Notice of any technical revision within the permit area, <br />3.
