Mountain mahogany and other shrubs shall be inoculated with appropriate mycorrhize to <br />encourage growth. Topsoil shall be placed from two to eight inches deep, with an <br />average of four inches. All azeas compacted during mining shall be ripped. Applicant <br />shall create natural contours, rather than a series of benches and cliffs; shall obtain topsoil <br />_ onsite from a source that is free of noxious weed seed; and s_h_all prepare and implement a <br />noxious weed management plan during an`d after miriing. Vegetation`r8=establishment `~ - " "'~ <br />on the site shall be monitored for a minimum of five years For each phase of the project, <br />and mining shall cease if the criteria aze not met at the end of the five yeaz monitoring <br />period. Subsequent phases shall not proceed until the success criteria are met. The <br />success criteria include: 1) minimum 90% of trees and shrubs planted must be alive and <br />healthy; 2) vegetation cover percent (as measured in representative azeas by statistically <br />repeatable methods) must be equal to or greater than existing cover; and 3) tree and shrub <br />cover (as measured in representative azeas by statistically repeatable methods) must be <br />equal to or greater than existing tree and shrub cover. The reclamation bond shall contain <br />at least $786,608 to cover the cost of revegetation, in addition to other reclamation costs <br />in the reclamation bond. <br />7. Applicant shall prepare a delineation of all jurisdictional wetlands and waters of <br />the United States on the site prior to commencing blasting or earthmoving activities on <br />the site. <br />4 of 4 <br />
