MCC is responsible for appropriate traffic control devices if any heavy <br />equipment }gas to be moved on Forest Road 711 or 711.2b from the Wednesday <br />prior to the first rifle hunting season for two weeks to prevent conflict. with <br />hunters. Appropriate traffic control devices will be determined by the Forest <br />Engineer representative. Depending on the location of the. drill rigs during the <br />first two rifle seasons, additional temporary gates may need to be installed to <br />prevent public access to active drill pads. Additional security and public safety <br />measures may be considered and approved or directed by the District Ranger. <br />20. A traffic counter will be installed as soon as possible at the junction of 711.2.B <br />and West Flatiron (toads (at the present temporary gate locations) to record <br />vehicle and ATV passes. The counter will be monitored and data recorded on a <br />weekly basis. The Forest Service Engineer representative will provide <br />specifications to MCC on installation ofthis traffic counter. This traffic counter <br />will be used to moiutor traffic associated with drilling activities and hunting. <br />
