To minimize hazards to public safety, no vertical high walls will be <br />left in the pit area at any time except during actual material <br />extraction operations. <br />2. The existing access road shall not be increased in width or rerouted <br />without prior approval. <br />3. Once removal and stockpiling of sand and gravel is completed, all <br />equipment will be removed from the site. Other materials such as <br />oil, asphalt, and discarded equipments parts, or trash will be <br />removed from the site and disposed of in a county approved landfill. <br />Reject materials will be buried in the pit. <br />4. Upon commencement of reclamation measures, the old existing pit area <br />and access road to to the site shall be seeded with the mixture <br />proposed in the plan. <br />5. Control of noxious weeds will be required through successful <br />vegetation establishment and/or herbicide application. Applications <br />of herbicide are prescribed; however, it is the responsibility of the <br />operator to insure compliance with all local, state and Federal laws <br />and regulations, as well as any labeling directions, specific to [he <br />use of any given herbicide. <br />6. If successful revegetation, soil and slope stability is not achieved <br />within two growing seasons after abandonment and initial reclamation <br />of the site, additional rehabilitation measures will be required. <br />
