Estimated leachate impacts for F seam mining wer e presented to the
Colorado hlined Land Reclamation Board (GhILd28) in t he "Lower Refuse Pilo
Adequacy Responses" dated play, 1986 for the "Permit Revision to Permits-CO-Niue
GIiLR6 G-007-80 and OStI CO-021" (Adequacy Responses). Evaluation of leacli:ite
test results Eor F seam materials demonstrated that the potential Cor roCuse
pile leachate to impacC Nortl[ Fork water quality is very low to [[o[[ex is ter[C.
Leacl[ate test results for B seam ini[[e development wastes and gob wastes
were analyzed using tl[e CI1I12B pul~lisl~ed "Guidelines for tl~o Collection of
Baseline Water Quality and Overburden Geochemistry Uata," 1982 and compared
with tl[e previously developed leachate estimates for I' seam materials. In
general, the B seam material leachate tests show similar or lower
concentrations of dissolved solids wl[en compared with F seam test results.

25958 Ucncccc Trail Road, Suilc 2U0 • Gulden, Culuradu 8U~iQl • (3U3) 52G-9838
