•
•
Site Kird Survey
Very few birds were observed in the area of the proposed will sites. The presence of
evergreens along both forks of "Terror Creek resulted m some slxv ies being observed that
would not have been on the mountain shrub hillside. Habitat rcywn:ments for all
slxcics observed are nut limited in the general arcs
Threatened, Endangered, Sensitive and tvianagement Indicator Speciew
Arowtd the drill sites, wildlife observed was similar to that observed at other locations in
the study area. Again, suitable habitat was generally lacking tier nearly all species of
concern. Within the spruce-tie timber there is some potential lym habitst, but this is a
very small area and the lack oFany known lynx activity for a great distance tiom this site
probably precludes the possibility ofany of these animals occurring in the area. The drill
site above Terror Creek (BRL= fC•OA-0.1 AL'I") is far enough removed that chances of any
siltation getting into the stream and afti:cting aquatic species is minimal. R'ith the
implernentation of proper safeguards no silt should reach the strL-am. If BRI: TC'-b4-04
were drilled, special precautions would lie needed to prevent siltation and other forms of
stream pollution.
I here were no "fFiS or Management Indicator species observed tit the area of the
• ~~roposcd drill sites.
