Dear Sirs:
• Bowie Resources, Limited is revising its operations at the Bowie No. 1 & 2 Mines.
Production at the Bowie No. 2 Mine will increase to 5.0 million tons per year. This coal will
be loaded at the Bowie No. 1 Mine loadout. These changes increase the predicted flow
depletion in the Colorado River by 155.6 acre feet per year. This additional depletion may
affect four endangered species of fish in the Colorado River.
Bowie Resources Limited hereby commits to implement the conservation measures the U.
S. Fish and Wildlife Service believes are necessary to mitigate the affect the depletion
may have on the four endangered species. The conservation measures inGude a one time
contribution of $2,234.42 to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. The amount of the
contribution is calculated by multiplying the estimated annual depletion of 155.6 acre feet
by a contribution factor of $14.36 per acre foot of depletion.
