foot steps to insure that a person or animal venturing on the site despite <br /> the large number. of No Trespassing signs at the perimeter, cannot be <br /> ' seriously injured. There will be no ponding of water at the site until <br /> Phase XII , by which time the banks of the pond will be cut to form 3: 1 <br /> (horizontal to vertical ratio) from five feet above to ten feet below <br /> ' the expected water line. The maximum slopes remaining at the perimeter <br /> of the site will be 3: 1 (horizontal to vertical ratio) . (This will result <br /> ' in a slope similar to the pitch on a normal 4/12 roof. ) The equipment <br /> used at the site for mining and hauling of gravel has back up signals as <br /> 1 required by OSHA. <br /> t7. Site Access and Traffic: The present primary access to the site is from <br /> West 35th Avenue at the northeast corner of the site. It is proposed that <br /> ' this continue to be the main access to the site. The Weld County Engineering <br /> Department is currently negotiating with BEST-WAY PAVING COMPANY to recon- <br /> struct the entrance to the site in order to facilitate the movement of heavy <br /> ' trucks entering or exiting the site, as well as to coordinate the site <br /> entrance with the recently redesigned street. No secondary access is con- <br /> sidered necessary <br /> ' During the year of 1977 BEST-WAY PAVING COMPANY has kept accurate records of <br /> ' trucks hauling asphalt to various paving projects located in the region. <br /> The data are summarized in Appendix 4. Destimations within the City of <br /> ' Greeley were not subdivided by BEST-WAY PAVING COMPANY, so it was assumed <br /> ' that approximately one-third of the total Greeley destinations were reached <br /> by turning east on Fourth Street while the other two-thirds were reached by <br /> ' going south on West 35th Avenue and turning east on West Tenth Street. <br /> Traffic count data supplied by the City of Greeley and Weld County are also <br /> ' included in Appendix 4. Comparison of these three sets of data indicate <br /> -25- <br />
