Rcpt. of t~atua4 Rese~uces <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />Re: Clay Mining Operation - Chieftain South Mine <br />Gentlemen: <br />Pursuant to Section 34-32-114, Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, as amended, we are writing this letter for the purpose of <br />objecting to the application by The Robinson Brick and Tile <br />Company to conduct a surface mining operation for clay on lands <br />located in part of the SE1/4SW1/4 and SW1/45W1/4, Section 24, <br />and part of the NW1/4NE1/4, SW1/4NE1/4, NE1/4SE1/4, SE1/4SE1/4, <br />SW1/45E1/4, NW1/4SE1/4, NE1/45W1/4, SE1/4SW1/4, NE1/4NW1/4, <br />SE1/4NW1/4, SW1/4NW1/4, and NW1/4NW1/4 of Section 25, Township <br />4 South, Range 70 West, 6th P.M., Jefferson County, Colorado <br />(the "Application"). <br />We are the record owners of a portion of the NW1/4 of <br />Section 25, as well as a portion of the NE1/4 of Section 26, <br />Township 4 South, Range 70 West, 6th P.M., Jefferson County, <br />Colorado (the "Property"). <br />We purchased the Property in November 1980 with a view <br />toward developing a residential community thereon; therefore, <br />we feel that permitting a clay mining operation on a portion of <br />the Property, as well as in such close proximity to the Prop- <br />erty, for a period of time extending for over eighty years, <br />would severely interfere with our development plans, as well as <br />the development plans of others in the area, making any devel- <br />opment in the near future impossible. <br />Very truly yours, <br />THE GOOD fP- ARR~NERSHIP, <br />rado ]ed partnersh: <br />Kenneth M.
