1/ EPA in promulgating BAT has withzld Best Conventional Control Technology'
(BCT) lini[a*_ions for TSS pending an economic review. However, BPT
limitations for TSS are applicable.
2/ Under SAT, alternative linitations exist for discharges during periods of
precipi*_ation less than or equal to the 10 year-24 hour even[ and for
discharges caused by precipitation in excess o: the 10 year-?» hour event.
Discharges during periods of no precipitation do not have to meet settleable
solids limits. At the option of the permittee, during periods of
precipitation less thar. cr equal to the 1G year-24 hour event, the discharge
ma~~ meet a settleable solids limitation of .~ ml/i instead of the total
suspended solids limitations. Discharge during periods in e:;cess of the 10
year-24 hour even[ may no[ have to comply with limitations for settleable
solids or TSS, at the option of the permitter. However, th_ permittee is
