Requirements for Effluent Linitaticn Compliance Determination <br />Within 90 days of the effective date of this permit modification, the <br />permittee shall submit to the Division, documentation which specifies <br />[he 10-year, 24-hour precipitation event (ir. inches of rain) and the <br />volume of water fron active mining areas, preparation plants, and <br />associated areas which would result from a 10-year, 24-hour <br />precipitation e~•ent. This documentation shall identify the gauge <br />station being used. Documentation may be in the form of a letter or <br />other indication from the Colorado "fined land Reclamation Division, <br />the Federal Office of Surface PLining, the Federal Environmental <br />Prctection Agenc}•, or other appropirate agenc}• acceptable to [he <br />Colorado water Quality Control Division. <br />I[ shall be the permittee's responsibility to document both [he <br />rainfall amount and [he volume of storm runoff produced, should a <br />precipitation even[ occur (pursuant to 40 CFR 434.63(c)). j/ <br />• <br />4. pest Mininc Areas <br />pursuant to 40 CFR 434, commencing a_t the time that active mining <br />ceases, federal post mining effluent limitations _'or settleable <br />solids (.5 ml.!1) shall become a^.plica'ole, plus at a minimum state <br />effluent limitations for oil and grease (less than 10 mg/1) and water <br />quality standards for pY.
