Producers will be stockpile at Boulder's 63`' Street V~TP, Boulder's Betas~,o WTP, and
Longmont stockpile at their WTP. For this year, we would seek approval of the North azea only as
we have additional monitoring of goundwater level and quality for the South area. The City has had
excellent experience with the application of WTP residuals as a top soil. Excellent go~vth of native
gasses on slopes as meat as 2:1 at our 1994 reclamation of Conda pit mine above Eldorado Springs.
I have included portions of a poster presentation presented at the 1996 High Altitude ltevegetation
Workshop in Fort Collins by David Buckner and Lynn Riedel. Post-monitoring of Condti site has not
exhibit any phosphorus deficiency. In fact the vegetation cover had developed to an e:dent beyond
that typically found in the first year stands.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call me at 441-4080.
Sincerely,
•~~~,~~ F ~1L
(/~// ~ t
Paul Heppler
Resource Recovery Specialist
