TERM: Lessee shall hold the same, for the purpose of <br /> mining, with no power to assign this lease or any interest thereunder, <br /> or sublet the whole or any part of the leased premises, for the term <br />of _~__ years from the date hereof. <br />3. OPERATION OF MINT: Lessee agrees to enter upon such <br />premises and at his own expense work the same according to generally <br />accepted principles of good and economical mining and to take out <br />the greatest amount of GOld mineral possible with <br />due regard to the safety, development, and preservation of the premises <br />as a workable placer mine, and to conduct operations as to conform to the <br />laws of the Unitod States and Che State of Colorado, and to do no act <br />and suffer no default that might in any manner involve lessor, or his <br />ownership of such mining property, in liability of any kind or charac- <br />ter. <br />4. INSPECTION OF PREMISES: Lessee agrees to allow lessor, <br />to enter upon all parts of the leased premises at any time for the pur- <br />pose of inspection, with every access to all sluice-ways, sluice-boxes, <br />and rockers, and the right to use all other facilities necessazy or <br />convenient to enable lessor to properly inspect the premises. , <br />5. RIGHTS TO PRODUCTION: As to all mining operations on the ' <br />premises cortdUcted by lessee, the precious metals so mined shall be di- <br />vided between the lessor and lessee as follows: ten per cent <br />( 10 0) by weight thereof to belong to lessor and the remainder to <br />belong to lessee. The lessor may, at his option, elect to take payment <br />'. for such precious metal as determined by the purchaser of such precious ' <br />metals in Denver, Colorado. Lessee will prof~erly account by weight and <br />. ~ by purchase- price for all such metals delivored to the purchaser of such <br /> <br />
