A copy
of this Zetter has been enclosed for your review and comment. I have
also enclosed a copy of the Division of Wildlife review for your
information.
After reviewing your letter of May I3, 1982, I have the follocring
additional questions and comments which must be addressed in detail
prior to the May 26-27, 1982 meeting of the Mined Land Reclamation
Board:
A. Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan
1. It was stated that the operator was going to utilize the
silt overburden material to replace materials removed within the
excavation area and in reconstructing the stream banks. Since this
material is highly erosive, hoar does the operator propose to keep the
Saint Vrain River from breaching the buffer strip and meandering through
the excavation area during periods of flood? What techniques will the
operator utilize to protect, and stabilize the bank through the pit area?
B. Exhibit L - Reclamation Costs
1. The staff is in agreement with the proposed reclamation costs.
