Banks and Gesso, LLC <br />Introduction <br />The applicant and property owner, Hilltop Aquatic Investments, LLC, is presenting this <br />application to the State of Colorado, Division of Minerals and Geology, Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Board (CMLRB) for a Construction Materials Regular 112 Permit to <br />mine sand and gravel from an operation to be known as the Raindance Sand and Gravel <br />Mine. <br />The permit boundary consists of approximately 85 acres within a larger parcel owned by <br />Hilltop Aquatic Investments, LLC. <br />The northern portion of the property that will be mined is currently used as cropland. <br />The haul road will cross land that is currently undeveloped open space <br />In addition to the extraction of sand and gravel, the applicant also proposes to operate <br />aggregate processing equipment (crushers, screens, conveyers, wash plant), an asphalt <br />plant, a concrete batch plant, and asphalt and concrete recycling equipment and <br />operations. <br />The expected production rate is 325,000 to 400,000 tons per year, and the life of the <br />operation is approximately 3-5 years, depending on market conditions. <br />The site will be reclaimed to lined water storage. <br />Raindance Sand and Gravel Mine March 18, 2004 <br />Hilltop Aquatic Investments, LLC q 04001 <br />
