GENERAL RECLAMATION PLAN <br />The reclamation plan will create lakes with wetland fringes for wildlife habitat and land peninsulas <br />that will be built from excess overburden that will be planned for industriaUcommercial use. Four <br />lakes will be created that will be interconnected through a series of culverts.. All lakes will vary in <br />size from 20 to 25 acres in size and have 3H:1 V sideslopes. Wetlands will be developed along the <br />water surface. Exhibit F shows the fmal configuration of the site. See Map C-3 shows cross sections <br />of the site for current, mining and reclamation topography. <br />As discussed in the mine plan, the site is divided into 5 mining azeas or phases. As each area is being <br />mined, reclamation will occur on the previous phase as well as part of the current phase. This in- <br />volves backfilling and grading of the slopes from 2H:1 V to the permanent slopes of 3H:1 V as well <br />as the creation of the land peninsulas. In this way, the reclamation of previously mined areas will be <br />done on an ongoing basis. The stockpiled overburden will be hauled from its storage area located <br />adjacent to the extraction azea by mobile equipment and placed where required to achieve a level <br />topography on the pad areas and properly backfilled slopes. Grading will be done by dozers and <br />other equipment which will compact and stabilize the overburden in their fmal configuration.
