~' •
Exhibit D - Reclamation Plan
1. Your item 4 states that the Uncompahgre River will remain in
approximately the same location at the end of the project. Will berms
and/or channels be removed to allow the river to re-enter its present
channel through the Phase II area? Show on the Exhibit E map the
location of the river after mining.
2. Your site description states that only occasional cottonwood shrubs
exist in the affected area. Please indicate what steps will be taken
to re-establish these and any other woody species, such as willows,
that may be destroyed by mining activities.
3. Specify the reclamation treatment of berms and/or channels constructed
to control the flow of the river during mining. If any of these
features are to remain after mining, show them on the Exhibit E Map/s.
4. The financial warranty cap of $5,000.00 for a limited impact permit has
been lifted. Please provide all direct and Indirect reclamation costs
broken down into all identifiable cost items. These cost figures
should be based on the point during the operation when the site has
reached maximum surface disturbance.
Exhibit E - Map/S
(Mining Plan Map)
1. Two roads approach the permit area from County Road 23. Show which
road will be used in connection with the mining operation. Label this
road. Show the location of the road as it accesses the permit area.
2. Show the location and extent of head cutting upstream and scouring
down-stream of the excavation areas resulting from the maximum planned
depth and extent of mining. This information should be developed by a
professional such as an engineer or hydrologist versed in stream
mechanics. Provide all data and calculations used.
0514E/scg
