The permit area
is shown on the Loadout Area Surface and Groundwater Hydrology
Map, (Map 13). The drainage and sediment control plan for the
East Loadout Area is designed to control drainage from disturbed
areas and coal stockpile locations within the permit boundaries.
The hydrologic control plan consists of the following five (5)
major components:
o Sedimentation Pond L1
o Southeast Ditch and Culvert
o Post-mining Berm
•
The general arrangement plan showing the locations of the above
mentioned structures is presented on the Loadout Area Surface and
Groundwater Hydrology Map, (Map 13). Detailed design drawings of
Sedimentation Pond L1 and the associated drainage structures are
located on the East Loadout Area Pond L1 and Drainage Structure
Design Map, (Map 26). The design calculations for each structure
are presented in the following text.
Seven(7) areas in the East Loadout have been designated as Small
Area Exemptions. These areas are exempt from full scale drainage
and sediment control requirements. Five of the seven (7) areas
are designated as incidental areas due to their smaller size.
The seven (7) areas, listed below, are shown on the Loadout Area
Surface and Groundwater Hydrology Map, (Map 13) with the
incidental areas denoted with an I.
o Northwest SAE area
o Northeast SAE area
o I-1
o I-2
o I-3
o I-4
o I-5
~J
Oe/IJ/Yl Q]: f0ee dap
`""""-'" 168 Revised - June 1947
