The attached reclamation cost
estimate reflects this cost. Hall-Irwin has agreed with DMG on a cost of $2.35 per square face foot
of slurry wall on [he bond amount for their Brighton project. Hall-Irwin's design specifications for
the construction of the slurry wall are confidential and proprietary information. The materials used
in the construction of [he slurry wall system include bentonite, slurry and soil bentonite backfill.
The wall is keyed into the bedrock and forms a seal around the mine, isolating [he mine from [he
groundwater. I have included a technical brief regarding slurry wall reservoir lining systems for
your file.
Please call me if you have any questions or need additional information to complete your review
Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,
ROCKY MOUNTAIN CONSULTANTS, INC.

Barbara Brunk
Landscape Architect
H:\0636 026\MLRB\DMGRESP3.WPD
CIVIL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING PLANNING
