110(2) Hard RocWMetal Mining Reclamation Permit Application
Dear Mr. Hazden:
Listed below are adequacy review comments on your application for a Limited Impact 110(2)
Hard Rock/Metal Mining Reclamation Permit Application. The decision date for your
application is scheduled for Apri122, 2004. Therefore, I would appreciate a response from you
on or before Apri120, 2004. Please be advised that your application maybe deemed inadequate
and maybe denied on Apri122, 2004 unless the following adequacy review items are addressed
to the satisfaction of the Division. In the event that you need additional time to prepare an
adequacy response, please state in writing on or before Apri122, 2004 your request for an
extension of the decision date. Also, please be sure to include two (2) copies of your response.
I. Please verify whether toxic or acid-forming materials will be exposed or disturbed as a result
of mining operations, or whether acid mine drainage occurs or has the potential to occur in
quantities sufficient to adversely affect any person, property, or the environment as a result of
mining or reclamation activities. Please respond.
6.3.3 EXHIBIT C -Mining Plan
2. The applicant specifies that ore will be processed on site through crushing and screening, then
processed offsite for final separation. In conformance with Rule 6.3.3(1)(m), please describe the
crushing and screening process and the facilities or equipment to be used. Also, the process area
and any structures must be described on Exhibit E -Map.
3. The applicant has specified that there will be an average thickness of 5 feet of overburden or
waste rock produced during mining. The applicant has also specified that there will be no
