PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTION
The particle size distribution for the soils in the Johnson and Pyeatt drain-
ages was determined by averaging the results from 23 soil samples taken in [he
Johnson drainage basin. The results, along with the average composition of
the soil, are shown on Table E-1, Soil Composition in Johnson Drainage. Once
a percentage of sand, silt, and clay was determined, each class was broken
into five sub-sizes to give a particle size distribution with 15 values. The
particle size distribution 13 given in Table E-2, Particle Size Distribution.
SOIL ERODIBILITY FACTORS
The soil erodibility factor, K, was determined using the soil compositions for
disturbed and undisturbed land along with structure and permeabilCy factors.
The soil erodibility factors for both disturbed and undis turbed land are shown
on Tab 1e E-3, Soil Erodibility Factors.
CONTROL-PRACTICE FACTORS
/ The control ~C) and practice ~P)~factors for use in th e ModiFied Universal
• Soil Loss Equation are shown in Table E-G, Sedimentology Parameters.

REVISED FFR 1 ~ '87
