The outside gradient or slope of final pond will be benched with depth of each layer of rock
as each section is mined out. Each year at end of season excess rock will be put on any high
wall until following year of mining.
5' Area along creek bed will be left for final phase then starting at west side Phase 5 and 14
rock will be removed next section 9 and 18 and finally phase 13. Natural flow and drainage
will remain with contour of drainage remaining untouched.
6. See attached map
7 • Waste Rock will be stock piled th area ofphase one not mined.
8 • Benching will be left on the west side of phases 1-2-3-4-5-14-15, also on South side of
phases 1-6-10, also on east side of 111-11-12-13-19-17-16 and finally benching will be left
on North side of phases 15 and 16. These benches will be on an Out Three and Down One
to achieve 3 to I slope.
9. Reclamation will take place concurrently with outside edges of pond in each phase. Final
reclamation will be complete as final mining is finished.
~~ Revision of Exhibit E. all available overburden will be replaced at a depth of four to six
inches and all available topsoil will be replaced over the over burden at a depth of two to
four inches. Highly erodible slopes that can be stabilized by revegetation will receive
priority for soil replacement with remaining soils placed on flatter areas above the high
water line of the pond. Any erodible areas that cannot be stabilized by vegetation will be
armored with waste rock used as Rip Rap of adequate size.
11
Revision of Exhibit E. Waste Rock reclamation. Any waste rock not used th Reclamation
Plan will be distributed evenly in bottom and around edges of pond.
12. Revision Exhibit E. Revegetation Plan Specifics.
The season of the year for revegetation will be in the fall and will have to be completed
before December 1st as we can no longer be in area after that date. The specific seed mix
will be Indian Rice Grass 41bs per aae, Sand Drop Seed 1 Ib per acre and Sainfoin -Eski I
Ib per aae. The method of planting will be to broadcast, or drill which ever is necessary.
No mulch and no trees.
13 Revision of Exhibit F. The pit will not intercept the small drainage on the south end of the
site. Mining will not reach area of drainage so we can assure a 3 to 1 gradient on the south
end of mined area. A small detention basin will be constructed as part of the fast mining
phase and will be used as sediment control for the project. The pond inlet and outlet will
use the existing drainage channel which is located on the sandstone bedrock.
