Gonzales; Resource Conservationist <br />~, ~ <br />~` <br />Subject: Reclamation Plan for SE4 Seclion 32, T3N, R50W ~Q eS ~L f /+ <br />Z (. ~~CYL <br />INTRODUCTION w SIu-n~f° <br />The following is a reclamation plan for the SE4 Section 32, Township 3 North, Range 50 West, <br />of the 6th P.M., Washington Gounty, Colorado. This reclamation plan involves an approximately 9.5 <br />acres site. No operations had been conducted prior to the field visit on August 23, 1998. The <br />approximate elevation of the area ranges from 4355 to 4345 feet. <br />SITE DESCRIPTION <br />Soils <br />The site is located in the Surveyor Creek drainage and consist of Platner loam soil. The <br />Platner soil is a deep, well drained soil on flood plains of intermittent drainage ways. It is formed in <br />alluvium from reworked loess and sandstone material. The surface layer is a loam. The upper <br />portion of the subsoil is a silty clay overlying a loam. This soil has slow permeability. The available <br />water holding capacity is high. Runoff is slow and the erosion hazard due to wind is moderate. <br />Slopes range from 0-3%. This soil is in capability subclass Ille. It is a Loamy Plains range site. <br />For added reference, the proposed site is in Major Land Resource Area (MLRA) 67. <br />Topograahv <br />Topography is nearly level to gently sloping. This site is typical of a smooth plains. (See <br />attached topography map) <br />Wildlife <br />Deer, antelope and pheasant have been noted on the site. However, other animals and birds <br />common to Washington County can be found in the area. <br />Vegetation <br />The area is currently cropland. <br />Land Use <br />Current land use for the land adjacent is Conservation Reserve Program land, and cropland. <br />Wetlands <br />No designated wetlands noted on the site nor should mining affect any other wetlands outside <br />the area. <br />
