• Rule 2.05
Over the life of the mtne, a total of 360,00 linear cubic yards of topsoil were salvaged and
stockpiled. Table 2.05-6 describes the topsoil stockpiles and topsoil replacement parameters.
Topsoil Stockpile "C" was not needed for final reclamation purposes and subsequently seeded in
place with the "permanent" seed mixture.
TABLE 2.05-6
TOPSOIL STOCKPILE DATA•
Stockpile
Designation Volume
Ilcyl Final Disposition
A 134,000 Entire pile respreed in 1966 onto final pit reclamation
B 114,000 66,000 Icy removed for final pit reclamation; 48,000 Icy used for
shopeloffice area final reclamation
C 7,500 Partially used for final reclamation of shoploffice area; balance reclaimed in
place
D 93,000 Entire pile used for final pit reclamation
E 11,000 Entire pile used for final pit reclamation
360,000
•Volumes taken from August 1986 permit revision
• In addition, some 683,000 yazds of topsoil were stripped and directly replaced on regraded areas
as part of concurrent reclamation operattons during mining.
