This report has been prepared under contract by TACA Corporation. TACA
• Corporation is an independent Denver-based consulting firm specializing in resource
inventories, environmental planning, and reclamation. Principal author of this
report is Thomas A. Colbert, Certified Professional Scil Scientist. Mr. Colbert
was educated in agronomy at Colorado State University and at Texas A~iM
University. He is a former seasonal employee of the U.S. Forest Service, and
for several years was a research technician in mined land reclamation for the
C.S.U. Agronomy Department. He later served as a reclamation specialist
with the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, before going into private
business. Since 1979, Mr. Colbert has been head of his own consulting firm
which in 1980 was incorporated under the name TACA Corporation, and has
been active with clients in both the uranium and coal industries.
• TACA Corporation subscribes to and conducts business according to the profes-
sional standards and Code of Ethics of ARCPACS, the American Registry of
Certified Professionals in Agronomy, Crops, and Soils, anon-profit organization.
The field survey work was supervised by Rodney E.
