Topsoi! <br />will be stockpiled and seeded with Western Wheat Grass. <br />']'here is approximately 2 inches of overburden to be removed to react the deposit to be <br />mined. <br />It appears that the deposit will average 12 feet in thickness. <br />(ej Equipment being used in the mining operation is 1 loader, 1 belly dump, 1 bulldozer and a <br />gravel crusher. Access road will be off of County Road 18.3 using an existing road, which is <br />used by Mr. Castillo to feed his livestock. The access road from County Road l 8.3 to the <br />permit area is owned by Mr. Castillo. <br />(f) Mining will commence frorn the west and gradually progress to the east. Topsoil will be <br />stockpiled on the north side of the permit boundary. Overburden will be stockpiled on the <br />northeast comer of the permit area. <br />(g) The access road from County Road 18.3 to the pit area will be approximately 12 feet wide <br />and 1/4mile in length. <br />(h) This will be strictly a dry pit operation with no water required. <br />(i) As stated above, this will be strictly a dry pit operation with no affect on water rights or <br />hydrology of the area. There will be no surface water intercepted and the historic drainage <br />pattern will be undisturbed. Depth to groundwater is unknown. <br />(j) See items (h) and (i) above. There will be no water rights, either surface or ground, affected <br />by this operation. <br />
