As committed in the "Permit Condition" <br />on page 6 of the Application Form, the applicant will notify the Division of Minerals and <br />Geology in the event of a reportable spill. <br />Mining; <br />The mining on this site will progress in three phases: <br />Phase 1: The Phase 1 mining area, located on the Parker property, is <br />approximately 7 acres. This phase will be dewatered and dry-mined using <br />scrapers, bulldozers, front-end loaders, excavators, or similar type equipment. <br />Material excavated in this mine area will be transported by conveyor belt <br />system or haul truck to the processing area located at the adjacent Baseline <br />Resource processing plant. Mining will be from west to east in Phase 1. <br />Phase 2: The Phase 2 mining area, also located on the Parker property, is <br />approximately 10 acres. This phase will also be dewatered and dry-mined <br />using scrapers, bull-dozers, front-end loaders, excavators, or similar type <br />equipment. Material excavated in this mine area will be transported by <br />conveyor belt system or haul truck to the processing area located at the <br />existing adjacent Baseline Resource processing plant. Mining will be from <br />west to east in Phase 2. <br />Phase 3: The Phase 3 mining area, located on the former Dersham property, <br />is approximately 16.5 acres. A slurry wall will be constructed around this <br />mining area prior to exposing groundwater in this phase. This phase will be <br />dewatered and dry-mined using scrapers, bulldozers, front-end loaders, <br />excavators, or similar equipment. Material excavated in this mine area will be <br />transported by conveyor or haul truck to the Baseline Resource processing <br />area. Mining will be from southwest to northeast in Phase 3. <br />Processing: <br />All material mined under this proposed application will be transported by conveyor or <br />haul truck to the existing processing plant located at the Baseline Resource site <br />currently operating under MLRB permit #M-97.058. <br />Imported Material: <br />Hall-Irwin may import material from other sites to the Parker-Dersham site. The <br />applicant is aware that in accordance with Rule 3.1.5(9) of the Construction Materiai <br />Rules and Regulations, if any offsite material is used as backfill, a notarized letter will <br />be submitted to the Division indicating the materials are inert.
